All work is done virtually, so scheduling fits around whatever a family's town and school calendar already look like. Families typically choose from three ways to work together:
Hourly Consulting: support on specific pieces of the process, as needed, without a long-term commitment.
The Pathway Plan: a structured program built around junior year, covering the full arc from list building through application submission.
Strategy Sessions: a focused session for families who want direction on a specific decision or a gut check on their current plan.
Kathleen Shipos, founder of Blue Birch College Consulting, previously worked as a teacher and continues to work as a speech-language pathologist alongside her college consulting practice, work that keeps her closely connected to how individual students learn and communicate. Many of the families Blue Birch College Consulting works with are middle-income households who don't qualify for need-based aid but still want a cost-conscious, well-informed strategy.
