hourly consulting

Experienced guidance you can tailor to exactly what your family needs

If you're not sure how much support your student will need, or you'd rather not commit to a package upfront, hourly consulting gives you the flexibility to start where you are and adjust as the process unfolds.

Some families use hourly consulting for help with one specific part of the process, like building a college list or managing applications and timelines. Others work with us throughout the entire application cycle. Either way, the focus stays on what matters most to your student and family.

Support can include academic planning, college list development, essay guidance, application strategy, financial aid navigation, and more.

Hourly consulting is available for students and families who want focused support with specific parts of the process or comprehensive guidance from start to finish.

*All meetings are held virtually

the pathway plan

A structured program that gives your family a clear plan through junior-year college planning (Class of 2028)

If your student is a junior and you want to get ahead of the college process with a plan that covers all the important pieces, The Pathway Plan is built for you. It walks students and families through the work that matters most, from building a strong college list to understanding what college will actually cost.

Your student will have access to step-by-step modules, tools to stay organized, a personalized college cost report with estimated net costs for up to 30 schools, and one individual strategy meeting for personalized guidance. Parents get dedicated resources on merit aid, financial aid, and net price, so the financial side of the process feels clear from the start. Families can add hourly sessions or additional support anytime.

The Pathway Plan is a great fit if you:

  • Want a structured approach rather than figuring out the process on your own

  • Care about finding colleges that fit academically, socially, and financially

  • Want to understand the real cost of college before application season

The Pathway Plan is a junior-year program designed to help families approach college planning with structure, clarity, and confidence.

  • Are close to submitting applications and want a thorough review

“My daughter began her college search somewhat blindly. It was refreshing to work with Kathleen, who was an incredible wealth of knowledge right from the start. She made this daunting process considerably less overwhelming by educating my daughter on how to create a balanced and comprehensive list of colleges to apply to based on her preferred criteria.

Kathleen was especially helpful in supplying information on colleges that were most likely to provide merit aid scholarships, something we knew very little about. The information we received was invaluable and the financial tips Kathleen provided ultimately helped to guide my daughter’s decision-making process. I highly recommend using Kathleen as your family’s college consultant… you’ll be glad you did!”
